About VTU Lab Examinations

Laboratory subjects are a core part of the VTU engineering curriculum. Each branch has dedicated practical courses every semester where students apply theoretical concepts through hands-on experiments, programming exercises, and design projects. Lab exams at VTU typically consist of performing an experiment or writing a program, followed by a viva voce examination conducted by an internal and external examiner.

Proper lab preparation is essential for scoring well. Lab manuals contain step-by-step experiment procedures, expected outputs, sample code, circuit diagrams, and observation tables that you need for both your regular lab sessions and the final practical examination.
